Planning Your Trip to Bali
When you start planning your trip to Bali, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, decide what kind of trip you want to have. Are you looking for a relaxing beach vacation? Or are you interested in exploring the Balinese culture and visiting some of the island’s temples? Once you know what kind of trip you want, start looking into flights and accommodations. Bali is apopular destination, so it’s important to book your tickets as early as possible.
When it comes to accommodation, there are a variety of options to choose from depending on your budget. As you’re planning your trip, be sure to research the best time of year to visit Bali. The weather can be quite unpredictable, so it’s helpful to know what you can expect before you go. Generally speaking, the dry season (May-September) is the best time to visit. But if you’re not worried about the weather, any time of year is a great time to enjoy all that Bali has to offer!
Exploring the Beaches and Attractions
The beaches in Bali are some of the most beautiful in the world. There are so many to choose from, and each has its own unique personality. We spent a day exploring some of the more popular beaches, like Kuta beach, which is known for its lively atmosphere and surfers. We also visited Seminyak beach, which is a bit more laid-back and secluded. And of course, we had to spend some time at the world-famous Beach Club in Jimbaran Bay.
In addition to the beaches, there are plenty of other attractions to keep you busy in Bali. We visited some temples, like the Uluwatu Temple, and went on a nature hike through one of the many rice terraces. We also took a cooking class and went on a tour of a coffee plantation. And no trip to Bali would be complete without a visit to one of the many spas for a traditional Balinese massage.
Experiencing Balinese Culture
There are many ways to experience the culture of Bali, from attending a traditional dance performance to visiting a temple. We experienced Balinese culture in many different ways during our girls trip and it was one of the highlights of our trip!
One way we experienced Balinese culture was by watching a traditional Barong and Kris Dance performance. The story behind the dance is interesting and the dancers were very talented. We also visited a couple of temples, including the beautiful Uluwatu Temple. At the temple, we watched another traditional dance performance and enjoyed the stunning views.
Enjoying Delicious Food
Assuming you would like a detailed section on the food: The Balinese people take great pride in their cuisine, and it was truly a delight to experience. Traditional Balinese dishes are often very spicy, utilizing a variety of different chili peppers. One of our favorite dishes was lawar kacang, which is chopped up pig liver mixed with green beans, spices, and peanuts.
Another memorable dish was betutu ayam, which is steamed chicken that has been marinated overnight in a mixture of spices and coconut milk. The result is an incredibly flavorful and tender chicken that melts in your mouth. No matter what dishes we ordered, they were all served with heaping portions of rice.
And of course, no meal would be complete without a refreshing young coconut to wash it all down. The food was so good that we made sure to leave room for dessert! We ordered several different kinds of traditional sweets and cakes, all of which were absolutely delicious. It’s safe to say that we left Bali completely stuffed, but it was definitely worth it! The food was just one of the many highlights from our trip.
Luxury Accommodation Options
Bali is home to some of the most luxurious accommodation options in the world. From boutique hotels to five-star resorts, there is something to suit every taste and budget. Our girls trip was no exception, and we were spoilt for choice when it came to finding somewhere to stay.
In the end, we decided on an intimate villa resort set right on the beach. The villa was complete with its own private pool, jacuzzi and butler service. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience, and one that we will never forget.
